Happy St. Patrick’s Day! If you’re so inclined, drink a green beer for me, eh? I would, but beer gives me tummy issues. 😉
St. Pat’s day was a day in my family to remember our Irish heritage and my grandmother would tell stories of her Irish/American upbringing.
And once… I went to this Irish bar in Manhattan. So, I was a little tipsy, I think. I see this woman who reminded me of my dear, departed grandma. She asked me why I was there, because I don’t look Irish (I take more after the Scottish/Scandinavian part of the family). I then mentioned to her that I had an Irish grandma… to which she responded with a slurry brogue, “Well, tell your grandma that you’re a mongrel!” LOL LOL LOL 😉
Here’s good thoughts for even the snarky, biting Irish… and especially for my grandma.

I always try to get away with not wearing green cuz I have green eyes… it rarely works for me. But shouldn’t it? I mean dang… I was BORN GREEN (eyed). I should be un-pinchable! Meh.

I am like .25% Irish on my Mom’s side and the rest is Filipino/Puerto Rican but all heritages combined tell me Imma celebrate N.M.W.!!!
