Hello! It’s me again, I posted on the old open thread a little while ago and AGR replied to me and I never got back to you, sorry. How are you both?
I posted before about body image and self-injury and I just wanted to say I’m doing really well, thanks for asking. In a strange way I’ve been thinking that dealing with the scars and stigma from them is helping my body image in other areas because it has taken my focus of my fat and body shape. The other day I went out in a sleeveless dress for the first time in years, and I did not one think about the belly and hips like I so often do, because I was enjoyng that my arms are healed enough for me to get them out. Soon I hope to be able to have bare legs too.
Has anyone found anything similar, that a different body image issue has helped them accept their shape?
