Happy Wednesday and Open Threadiness!
If I could, I’d climb into my monitor and go through that door… I’m a total fantasy nerd. I just know there’s some medievalish land with dragons and stuff on the other side…

I sall get us started, cuz I have a lot of little random things on my mind. Let the ramblings begin!
I am finally getting used to having my own computer again. It’s pretty darn neat to be able to write whenever I get the urge. I’m realizing that having this freedom is important to my well being. Apparently I like to express myself a lot via typing – published or not. Doesn’t matter. I just like words.
For those of you who like white tea (it is made from the same plant that green and black teas are from, but it is picked far earlier and not wilted or fermented for a lighter and smoother taste), I have found the MOST LOVELY white tea ever. OMFG. It is from the brand Numi (I can only find this brand at Whole Foods, so far) and they have this really lovely “white rose white tea.” I’ve long been aquainted with cultures that use rose in their deserts and teas and omg… it’s just lovely. It’s about time that some brand that I can find within a mile of my home started using roses too! It is so relaxing to drink a tea that also smells strongly of roses. Yes, some parts (if not all, I’m not sure) of roses are quite edible.
In other tea news (I am a tea freak), green and white teas are now coming in decaf! Whooo hooooo! It is like xmas for me. I could drink green or white teas all day, but being that caffed up is seriously no fun. Sure, decaf still has caffeine in them, but at least I can have two or three cups without my throat closing or wanting to sleep for the whole day from caffeine overdose. Yes, caffeine makes me very sleepy.
I think those are all my ramblings for the moment… 😉
Okay, so I finally saw the movie Coraline last night, and I loved it! That picture reminds me of the movie. 🙂
I recently discovered white tea. I’ll see if I can find the white rose kind, although I don’t like scented teas so much so I’m not sure if I’ll like it or not.
I’m waiting today to hear about my mother’s biopsy results (her appointment is in two and a half hours –we’re six time zones apart), so I’m jest a tetch edgy.
I’ve been reading your other post about maybe working in a bookstore. I’ve thought about that off and on for years now (I’m still a student, working on my MA thesis).
Hehehe… that pic reminded me of Coraline too. What a great movie!
TBS – I hope all goes well with your mother. I’m thoughts are with you.
Thanks.
Fortunately, the news was good. *phew*
Wednesday?!?!?!
UGH! I am SUCH a burnt out pickle brain! Here I thought it was Tuesday. Oh, well, one more day closer to pay day and time to torrent “Rescue Me” since satellite is off.
😦
I totally and fully agree with having a computer and being able to type as well as surf. Such a great day when lappy (laptop) came back home to Momma!!
Eating roses…can I just say that at a very young age my Mom, Sis and I saw some creepy guy go into a 711 pretty late at night, buy one single rose and proceeded to devour it in his car. We are still freaked out about that ’til this day.
*Siiiiggghhhh*
I’ve missed posting here.
Welcome back, HotMomma! I was just thinking about you the other day and was wondering how you were doing.
That rose story is pretty funny…. hahahahaha…
In the movie Monsoon Wedding, there are one or two characters who cannot help themselves from eating marigolds… it made me giggle too.
