So I didn’t get the job at Kohl’s. Right now I’m feeling bad about…pretty much every aspect of my life. 😦

I am so sorry Charlotte. To be honest, that is the kind of thing that devastates me. Rejection is always hard but it is even worse when you really need to job. I too would feel bad about my whole life.
But you shouldn’t. Your dreams of becoming a minister can still happen. Can you take just a semester or 2 off from school for financial reasons? Can you think of this as a major disappointment and huge bump in the road but not life changing awful?
I am just trying to be helpful. I would be flattened by such a thing and my depression would remind me of every mistake I have ever made, every missed chance and every reason I am a looser. It would do this based on a pattern that really isn’t there to make me feel bad about myself forever.
I really hope you know how wonderful you are and that you can survive this blow.

Thanks for the kind words, JennyRose. I’m actually taking a semester off of school right now; the plan is to go back in January. I know once I go back to school, I’ll be eligible for all kinds of financial aid and maybe a work study position. I just need a way to survive until then. And yeah, this job thing is adding on to my depression and other emotional issues. 😦 Right now I’m trying to gather up enough motivation to re-start the job hunt. Thanks again for the encouragement, I really appreciate it. 🙂
