It’s not often one “meets” someone who seems to bring out the best in you.
This post is one of gratitude and appreciation for a friend of mine. She’s been there for me through some really tough times. She’s been with me through most of my recovery if not all. She’s seen me struggle and cry, feeling like I’ve failed or that I’ll never make it through. She’s been a shoulder to cry on, a confidant and a therpist when I needed her to be.
I owe her so much but may never be able to thank her in person. I’ve never met this person and yet she knows more about me than probably anyone else. She’s been there with me even though there are things we may not agree on. She’s been there with me when I’ve done nothing but pity myself. She’s even been there when she probably really didn’t feel like listening to me spill my guts. But she’s also been there to celebrate my advances and to rejoice when I face challenges head on.
We met in cyberspace while dealing with our eating disorders. Our friendship has grown and now, when I haven’t heard from her for over a day or two, I worry about her. She’s the one that came up with the great idea to start this blog so that we would have a safe place to post about our journeys.
She’s my co-author on this blog, angrygrayrainbows, and I just want to thank her from the bottom of my heart! There’s no doubt in mind that I would not be where I am now without her help and support.
So to you, rainbows, I say THANK YOU! Thank you so much!
